The inspiration for the base of this table lamp comes from an antique urn we saw in China. It was believed to have been from the Zhou dynasty, which lasted for 800 years and introduced the use of iron and bronze-ware. This urn lamp is resembles the antiques from this time, with its heavily rusted finish and its wooden base, which makes it look elevated like an art piece.
