The Yuan Dynasty of China ruled for a short period during the 14th century. Floral pattern plates, like this one, were commonly made during this time as a way to honor nature's beauty, even through the bitter winter months. The origins of blue and white ceramics come from Persia, once traveling to China down the Silk Road. Ours is handcrafted from ceramic and intricately hand painted. The color, size, and design will vary slightly based on the hand that created it.
