Hand selected antiques, special finds and one-of-a-kind treasures from around the world.
Don't you wish you had more room to display figurines and artifacts? In 17th-century Europe, the upper class dedicated entire rooms, called cabinets of curiosities, to displaying found items and relics from a specific genre or study, such as biology, nature, or art. As the trend continued to those with less grandiose homes, curiosities became smaller and more distinct. Such was the case with this vintage dome and its accessories. It's perfect for keeping curiosities contained while still admiring them. It comes from a 19th-century cabinet in Europe, and each small item is a religious relic commemorating the Holy Family.
Our Rare Birds are unique treasures we’ve acquired from across the globe. Because they've been around for some time and are well traveled, they often have worn features. But that, of course, is what makes them so wonderful and also why we must say all sales are final.
