Thank you for your feedback. We love this product and especially enjoy the ironic contrast between the humble chalkboard and its over-the-top Baroque frame. The chalkboard itself is crafted of steel plated masonite which has been painted with black chalkboard paint. The frame is crafted out of pine with molded resin ornamentation. Disappointing -- not as described
The durable slate is actually a thick sheet of slick paper over cardboard. It wiggles and waves when you write on it. Frame looks molded, not carved. Not at all nice. Sending it back.
