On this lovely red tole basket, I see a man at ease on a golden island. We think it will provide a fine home for your trash. Tole-painted accent pieces like these fit anywhere – a well-appointed home office, a luxurious bath. You’ll have your own ideas, of course. We understand. Tole was made popular in the 18th century and is the folk art of decorative painting on every day household objects. Our Prince Tole Wastebasket is a lovely example of Tole Chinoiserie. The Prince's alter-ego is depicted on our Pauper Wastebasket, W0997. Both trash cans are true works of art, handpainted on iron.
