Foot stools, like this studded oak frame one, would have been commonly found in salons throughout Europe in the 17th and 18th centuries. Salons were larger gathering rooms in the homes of that day. Though homes rarely have salons today, we are fortunate enough to have a keepsake like this to remind us of those times.
