It wasn’t easy. But we quietly smuggled this trestle table out of an old English manor completely undetected. A sturdy statement and naturally distressed, this could be a dining table or a large work station. Just don’t tell anyone where we found it, thus far, no one’s missed it. Note the lovely cracks and variations in the grain.

The top wobbles. I know its real wood. but 2500 is a lot to pay for that

We appreciate your comments about our Trestle Table and share you love for the beautiful base of this table. We also love the handcrafted look of the sturdy plank top. Our craftsmen have begun protecting this top with a matte polyurethane finish. As with all fine wood furniture, coasters should be used to prevent rings. The table may be easily cleaned with a damp cloth or standard furniture polish.
Beautiful base, top not solid
I fell in love with the photos that emphasize the beautiful base of this table - and do not show a lot of chairs around the table. With 6 chairs around the table, you do not see the base very much, unfortunately. I was very surprised that the table top is made of joined slats and is not solid or veneered solid. I had not expected that from the photos, though if you look really carefully you get a hint of it. I contacted the seller several times and they were not able to give me much information about the care of the piece of furniture, and the top has no finish or protection on it. The base is still beautiful, though.
