Graphic Designer

Wisteria seeks a Graphic Designerto play a crucial role in the marketing team of a youthful and creative organization. Reporting to the Assistant Art Director, the Graphic Designer will assist in developing and executing "The Look" of Wisteria; help maintain the workflow of design and production and ensure that both images and copy are correct for final production; work closely with the copywriters, art directors, marketing team, photography team, and the Creative Director.

Specifically, the Graphic Designer will:

  • Design for retail collateral and signage, digital marketing (email, web, social media), marketing collateral, and print ads; assist with art direction for photography
  • Contribute design ideas and concepts in team brainstorms
  • Balance tight deadlines with great design
  • Communicate with copywriters to ensure design matches the voice of the brand
  • Help coordinate and strategize workflow with the Assistant Art Director

IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE

Experience

  • Entry level up to 3 years
  • Degree in graphic design, visual arts, or a related field
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, specifically InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop
  • Strong design, layout, typographic skills

Assistant Stylist / Photography Producer

Responsibilities will include:

  • On-set, hands-on photo prepping and styling for web, social and catalog productions.
  • Bring creative ideas for shots to brainstorming sessions and throughout photography.
  • Resourcing and shopping for props and locations to assist creative.
  • Manage all production logistics of various catalog campaigns and photo shoots for Wisteria catalog photography needs.
  • Work with Creative Director, Lead Photographer and Assistant Art Directors on all talent approvals for photo shoots, including shoot locations, stylists, freelancer, set design, etc.
  • Manage photo shot requests from various departments and build into existing photo shoot schedule.
  • Manage budget of photo shoot and help resource projects.
  • Responsible for managing of set priority and distributing correct information to key positions.
  • Maintain communication with merchandising on active catalog and on-line product.
  • Manage merchandising coordinator’s schedules, organization of product and inventory.
  • Manage pre and post-production schedules to ensure project assets are delivered on time.
  • Maintain communication with other departments that their requests have been executed.

IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE

Experience

The ideal candidate for the Assistant Stylist/ Photography Producer role at Wisteria will have the following experiences:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role (catalog / editorial/ background preferred)
  • Experience in home décor/ furniture industry.
  • Knowledge of current trends in home décor and photography.
  • On-set, hands-on photo assistant stylist experience.
  • Must have advanced computer proficiency in Microsoft Office Programs.
  • Experience with computer programs such as FileMaker Pro, NetSuite, Adobe Suite, and Google Docs, a plus!

  • Highly flexible and able to meet the unique creative demands of the various productions.
  • Self-starter able to manage multiple projects and work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced creative environment.
  • High level of organizational and managerial skills and an eye for detail.
  • Must be entrepreneurial in thinking and resourceful.
  • Must have excellent verbal, written, and analytical skills.
  • Must have ability to work effectively without direct supervision.
  • Must have ability to manage a number of projects simultaneously.
  • Must have the ability to manage varying personalities and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
