The Position:

Wisteria and OKA, two high-end interior lifestyle brands, are looking for an inspiring leader to aggressively grow their physical brick and mortar stores. Both Wisteria and OKA were recently acquired by Investindustrial (www.investindustrial.com) with plans to quickly expand their physical retail locations throughout the U.S. Both companies share a passion for excellent product design, creating an engaging customer experience and for growing a direct-to-consumer business.

We are looking for a talented and experienced retailer to build and lead the team that expands both brands throughout the U.S. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with vision, grit and determination. This position requires a person who has a passion for creating unique and meaningful retail experiences and is focused on providing excellent customer service. Physical stores are a key part of our omni-channel business model as we have plans to open 20+ stores in the next five years.

As a key member of the Leadership Team, you will be responsible for all retail store functions – communicating the brand and ensuring customers have an engaging experience in each store, opening new locations, the retail P&L, meeting profit/growth targets, driving operational efficiencies, personnel management and all other areas of retail oversight.

Key Responsibilites:

  • Leading and inspiring a strong retail team
  • Ensure the Wisteria and OKA brands are effectively communicated through the brick and mortar stores
  • Create a compelling “best in class” in-store customer experience
  • Achieve Retail P&L and KPI targets; including growing same store sales
  • Develop a template for retail expansion
  • Oversee the planning, opening and running of new and existing stores
  • Create and implement procedures that maximize revenue, efficiency and inventory accuracy
  • Work closely with the Buying to optimize inventory turn, margin, and product selection
  • Work closely with Marketing for promotions to maximize traffic, revenue and profitability
  • Work with Operations/Logistics to ensure efficient transfer of products, in home delivery, etc.
  • Leading, Managing, & Accountability

You'll also be expected to:

  • Know how to get the best out of our people
  • Communicate expectations for the roles and responsibilities of each team member
  • Work with other members of the Leadership Team to identify issues and to solve them

KPIs include:

  • P&L by month, including top and bottom lines
  • Store conversion rate ≥ plan
  • Outlet Margin ≥ Plan
  • Store labor/ sales ≤ budget
  • Turn > 3
  • Customer Experience: Net Promoter Score ≥ 75%
  • Grow Email and Retail House File by 10% YOY

We are not looking for just a good retail operator but an inspiring leader! We want to find the right person rather than a person with a list of degrees or experience. However, it may be helpful to be that right person if you have the following:

  • At least 10 Years of P&L responsibility opening and operating in a multi-location environment
  • Experience creating strategic plans for Retail stores
  • Experience working with Interior Designers
  • Successful management of new store launches
  • Exposure to “experiential retail” and providing high end customer service
  • Leadership experience with all levels of staff

The Position

Wisteria and OKA, two premium interior lifestyle brands, are looking for a dedicated person to lead our Operations team, to drive operational excellence in our current distribution center and to support an aggressive growth plan for our brick and mortar stores. Both Wisteria and OKA were recently acquired by Investindustrial (www.investindustrial.com) with plans to quickly expand their physical retail locations throughout the U.S. as well as to grow their online and catalog business. Both companies share a passion for excellent product design, creating an engaging customer experience and for growing our direct-to-consumer business.

As a key member of the Executive Team, you will be responsible for ensuring success in all operational areas.

Responsibilities include:

  • Fulfillment and Distribution Center(s)
  • Inbound/Outbound Logistics
  • Driving Efficiency Gains Throughout the Organization
  • Packaging and Delivery
  • Wisteria Facilities Management and Safety
  • Physical Inventory Control
  • Core IT and Systems Knowledge
  • On-site Management of the IT Department
  • Project Management throughout the Organization

You’ll also be expected to:

  • Know how to get the best out of our people
  • Communicate expectations for the roles and responsibilities of each team member
  • Identify issues of the company and work with the leadership to solve them
  • Provide accountability to leadership team and follow up on assignments of others
  • Run weekly meetings
  • Effectively integrate all major functions within Wisteria and OKA
  • Work closely with the Global Supply Chain to deliver the proper operational strategy
  • Work closely with the Global CTO supporting all of the US IT projects
  • Track key performance indicators and make course corrections as needed
  • Track performance of appropriate metrics for each team member
  • Follow through on commitments made by Wisteria and OKA Leadership Team
  • Communicate to the company as a whole and provide clear direction
  • Be comfortable with living in a non-corporate world, shunning politics
  • Follow a management system (Traction) enabling team to harmoniously work together

  • Inbound and outbound freight ratio ≤ budget
  • Returns Due to Packaging ≤ Budget
  • Warehouse labor ≤ budget

  • Accidents = Zero
  • Completion on time/on budget of all IT projects
  • IT overall cost ≤ Budget

The Position:

Wisteria is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic professional for the position of Technical Furniture Designer. As a member of this team the Technical Furniture Designer will report to the Product Design and Development Manager and work closely with the VP of Design to design and build technical drawings of potential products. The Product Designer must have experience in managing multiple projects, possess strong organization skills, have good time management, and be a creative problem solver.

Responsibilities include:

  • Designing technical drawings of potential home décor and furniture
  • Photoshop images, as needed, for Wisteria’s Wall Art Gallery

You will also be expected to:

  • Meet KPIs for the position as well as support Departmental KPIs
  • Coordinate developments with the Buying Team
  • Research manufacturing techniques in the current market place
  • Maintain a professional atmosphere
  • Create 3D models as needed
  • This is a full-time position that sometimes includes working more than 40 hours a week

Experience and degrees:

It may be helpful to have the following:

  • 1-2 years of experience in technical design. Furniture design experience is a plus
  • Experienced user of SolidWorks
  • Experienced user of all Microsoft applications such as Excel, Outlook, and Word
  • Experienced user of Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
  • Knowledge of federal and/or state regulations on materials used in manufacturing of furniture, textiles, and lighting
  • Knowledge of file handling and transferring
  • Knowledge of scanning and digital camera advanced techniques
