The original Chippendale style chair is named for master London cabinet maker Thomas Chippendale. In the 1700s, this chair originally featured a yoke-shaped top railing, cabriole legs, and shell motifs. He was inspired by pagodas to make the Chinese Chippendale chair, which has an open, fretted back. What makes this Moorish Chippendale Chair unique is that the back is fretted in a diamond design instead of the geometric squares of Chinese Chippendale style. Made out of sturdy mahogany and rattan, this unique armless seat lines up beautifully around a dining table. Host dinner guests with a style that's all your own with the Moorish Chippendale Chair.
